Kit List

 

A full and complete equipment list will be provided along with specific directions once your booking is confirmed.

However, you will need to bring with you some basic kit such as:

  • Waterproof jacket & trousers

  • suitable footware i.e. robust mountain boot or similar with ankle support

  • knife

  • torch

  • billy can or cooking pot

  • drinking cup/mug

  • water bottle

  • spare trousers

  • Base layer, mid layer and outer

  • Fleece

  • Duvet Jacket

  • Hat and balaclava

  • Gloves

  • Water and windproof trousers and jacket

  • Swimming shorts

  • Training shoes

  • Waterproof note book and pencil

  • Sunglasses

  • Casual clothes

  • Wash bag

  • Towel

  • Personal medication

  • Camera



Please note, the Kit List outlined here is for reference only. Once you have booked, a full Kit List which is suitable for your course location (along with a list of items not to bring!) You will also need a sleeping bag, roll matt, bivi bag and a basha or tarp.  Don't worry if you haven't got everything you need as we can hire the less common items which is cheaper than buying.

 

MINIMUM FITNESS REQUIREMENTS



PLURAL'S survival courses are tough both mentally and physically.

As a pre-requisite, all students should:

  • be physically fit

  • be able to swim

  • have no underlying health problems (mentally and physically)

  • have an open mind to learning

  • a good positive attitude.
